Dental Implants
Dental Implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the inevitable and relentless bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. Dental implants are truly changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. The dental implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone fuses with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth.
Both Dr. Fred Bye and Dr. Rebecca Bye have received extensive training, and are dedicated to excellence. Both doctors earned their specialty certificates in Periodontology at the University of Michigan, and are board certified by the American Board of Periodontology, a demonstration of their mastery of Periodontics before nationally chosen members of the specialty.

Cosmetic Periodontics
Cosmetic Periodontics can make replacement teeth look more natural and improve the appearance of natural teeth. Periodontal treatments offered by Dr Bye can enhance your smile as well as your overall facial appearance. These procedures include
- Crown Lengthening: During this procedure, excess gum and bone tissue is reshaped to expose more of the natural tooth.
- Soft Tissue Grafting: Exposed tooth roots are the result of gum recession. Coverage of the roots reduces root sensitivity, reduces risk of root decay, and enhances appearance.
- AlloDerm Grafting: Use of this tissue avoids discomfort, and fear associated with the use of palatal donor tissue.

Wilckondontics
Many patients decline needed orthodontic work because of the time commitment. By performing a minor periodontal procedure, the dense bone is softened which accelerates the process. The softened bone then allows the teeth to move to their new position more quickly. Braces and specialized Wilckodontics appliances are required to move the teeth. Once in position, the teeth are held in place while the bone hardens around them.
Using Wilckondontics, most orthodontic cases can be completed 3 to 4 times faster than with conventional orthodontics.

Periodontal Diseases
Periodontal diseases are infections of the gums, which gradually destroy the support of your natural teeth. Dental plaque is the primary cause of gum disease in genetically susceptible individuals. As periodontal diseases progress, the supporting gum tissue and bone that holds teeth in place deteriorate. If left untreated, this leads to tooth loss.
A startling fact is that periodontal disease damages the teeth, gum and jawbone of more than 80% of Americans by age 45.
