When to See a Periodontist

Your general dentist may recommend a consultation with a periodontist if signs of periodontal disease are found. You may also decide to see a periodontist on your own — a referral is not necessary to be seen at our office. It is recommended that adults are screened regularly for periodontal disease as much of the adult population has gum disease.

Your doctor may refer you to The Bye Center for Implants & Periodontics for specialized treatment of periodontal disease, to improve the appearance of your gums, to regenerate or augment your gums and jawbone, or for placement of dental implants.
